Scholarships and Exchanges at TRAC

Opportunity:

TRAC is committed to providing need-based financial aid in the form of scholarships, ensuring that no child’s talent or passion is limited by circumstance or systemic marginalization. We know the cost of tuition can be a barrier for many families, and we want to make sure that every dancer — especially those interested in joining our competitive program — has the chance to participate fully. Our hope is that no student will feel they have to step away from opportunities because of financial constraints. Support is available, and we encourage families to explore these options before assuming a more advanced program is out of reach.

Our Why:

At TRAC, we believe that high-caliber arts programs should be accessible to all. Offering scholarships is central to our commitment to supporting diverse communities and reflects our aspiration to foster equity and inclusion. Dance and musical theatre are about storytelling, and we believe every young person deserves the chance to express their own story. Every one of our faculty members has been deeply shaped by the power of the arts, and each strives to share that same impact with our students. In bringing the teaching experience full circle, we believe that giving back is not only meaningful — it is essential.

Your Options:

At TRAC, we recognize that every family’s situation is unique, which is why we offer flexible options for accessing financial aid. After reviewing your survey information, we’ll determine whether we can provide a scholarship or an exchange opportunity. Decisions are based on what our small business can sustainably offer, and when our scholarship budget is limited, we lean into creative, alternative solutions. Parents may advocate for discounted tuition by contributing their time and skills in ways that fit their schedules — from sewing or bedazzling costumes during class time, to supervising backstage during performances, assisting with summer camps, or supporting administrative tasks. These are just a few examples of how families have partnered with us in the past. We welcome conversations to tailor support that works for both your family and our studio.

How to Apply:

Scholarships are determined on a case-by-case basis and involve an application process that includes a financial breakdown of the family's income. We prioritize scholarships from marginalized or racialized families in efforts to create an equitable future. Please fill out our application form to formally express your inquiry. We will get back to you at our earliest convenience with the next steps.
